主要研究方向:

1. 光合细胞器膜系统的重建与修复

叶绿体是植物和藻类进行光合作用的细胞器,将太阳能转化为化学能并且储存在细胞内。光合功能的发挥离不来其结构的完成性,叶绿体外围的双层被膜是保护其光合功能的基本屏障。在逆境条件下(如紫外线、高温、低温和缺水条件),叶绿体被膜完整性常常受到破坏,导致膜透性增加,严重抑制光合作用和叶绿体内的其它代谢过程。我们的研究发现,VIPP1(Vesicle Inducing Protien in Plastid 1) 蛋白的主要功能是修复破损的叶绿体被膜,过表达该蛋白可以显著地增强植物的整体抗性。

2. 叶绿体生物反应器的研究与应用

叶绿体作为一种新型的生物反应器, 具有高效表达、定点整合、安全性好、表达原核性、后代遗传稳定等优点, 近几年呈现出诱人的发展前景。我们目前将 VIPP1以及一些相关蛋白在叶绿体中过量表达,以期获得生物安全性高、抗逆性强的生物新品种。
